We’re getting closer than ever to wrapping up pre-production and moving into the next phase of our Route 66 documentary. The excitement is building as we prepare to officially hit the road, filming all the incredible stories and landmarks along America’s Main Street. Over the past few months, I’ve been working hard to expand our filming equipment arsenal, adding new audio gear, lights, and extra data storage. These upgrades will ensure that we capture the highest quality footage. While we’ve made great progress, we’re still on the lookout for more equipment to make this project the best it can be.
One major step ahead for us is acquiring a production vehicle this spring. This will be crucial to safely and efficiently travel back and forth from Chicago to Santa Monica over the next two years. The Mother Road has so much to offer, and we’re committed to documenting it all—from its iconic sites to the untold stories of the people who live and work along Route 66.
Our recent trip to the Route 66 Festival in Kingman, AZ was a highlight and brought even more inspiration to this project. Seeing the passion of the community for Route 66’s rich history only fueled our excitement to share its stories with the world. We’re proud to be a part of keeping this history alive, and we can’t wait to share it with all of you!
We’re also thrilled to announce that soon, there will be opportunities for YOU to get involved in the journey. We’ll be launching a side project where you can share your personal stories about Route 66 outside of the documentary. Stay tuned for more details on how you can be a part of it!
If you’d like to support this project, we welcome any contribution, big or small. You can either donate through our PayPal support page or help us complete our setup by purchasing a piece of equipment from our Amazon wishlist. Every supporter will receive special recognition in the film’s credits as a thank you for being part of this journey.
Lastly, don’t forget to sign up for our newsletter so you can stay up to date as we move into production and begin filming!
Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to sharing this incredible journey with you.
